Team Word Game
Here's a nice little team game to raise awareness of how spelling and pronunciation differ. The teams have to reverse words such as 'main' to get 'name'. This requires that they understand that these words are sequences of 3 sounds, even though they both contain 4 letters, and the same vowel sound is spelt differently in each.
