Pronunciation -

Pronunciation is just as important for listening as for speaking. In this workshop, we will look at what features make connected speech difficult to follow. We will try out a series of tasks and games for raising awareness of these features. Finally, I will suggest how teachers can prepare their own micro-listening activities. See the programme for the whole day here. You can find the slideshow of the talk as a PDF below, and you can listen to an audio recording of this talk as given at IATEFL Liverpool on this page. Also, here are the pages for a couple of the materials demonstrated in the talk: Yes, today song, Grace's Cat chant, Doctor doctor cartoon.
