It’s nearly time for the 38th TESOL-Spain National Convention, where this year, as well as catching up with friends, I’ll be presenting on Learning Listening: The challenge of unscripted language. In this workshop, we’ll consider various aspects of spontaneous speech, the ways in which they make life difficult for the non-expert listener, and what we can do to help learners listen more effectively. Participants will try out a range of activities taken from Authentic Listening Resource Pack by Mark Hancock and myself (Delta, 2015). Sample materials can be found here http://hancockmcdonald.com/books/overview/authentic-listening-resource-pack
